Baseball Recap: Dixon Triumphs

Dixon's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Owensville Dutchmen. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Dixon's record now sits at 12-8. As for Owensville, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-17.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dixon will host Iberia at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Owensville, they will welcome Steelville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.93 runs per game on average), something the Dutchmen will no doubt try to take advantage of.
