Softball Recap: Williston's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

After a string of 11 wins, Williston's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 7-4 to the Bismarck Demons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Coyotes of the 6-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Julie Heller made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs while going 2-for-3.

Williston's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 11-1 and their overall record down to 12-2. As for Bismarck, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Williston will challenge rival Minot at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bismarck is set to square off against their familiar foe Turtle Mountain at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
