Soccer Game Preview: Lafayette vs. Maclay

Lafayette is 0-9 against Maclay since December of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Hornets will venture away from home to take on the Marauders at 5:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Thursday, Lafayette didn't have quite enough to beat Williston and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in November of 2025, Maclay was forced to settle for a draw last Wednesday. They and Lincoln finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw.

Maclay's draw makes their record 5-6-2 this season. As for Lafayette, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8-2.

Lafayette might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Maclay when the teams last played back in February of 2021. Can the Hornets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
