Wakefield and Heritage are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2021, but not for long. The Wolverines will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against the Huskies at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Wakefield fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Wake Forest last Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 69-67. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (56), the Wolverines still had to take the loss.

Despite their loss, Wakefield saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Zih'Kee Dickerson, who went 11-for-16 to rack up 29 points and eight rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Ethan Wisler was another key player, shooting 44% from the field on his way to 23 points.

Meanwhile, Heritage ended up a good deal behind John Carroll on Friday and lost 71-56.

Heritage now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Wakefield, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
