Grove City scored the most runs they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Titusville Rockets by a score of 12-11. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 12-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Nolan Renick was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Max Knouse, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5.

Grove City's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Titusville, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.
