Volleyball Game Preview: Brevard Blue Devils vs. Franklin Panthers

Brevard has won four straight games at home, while Franklin has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Blue Devils will take on the Panthers in a tournament on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Brevard saw some tournament action on Thursday. Everything went their way against North Henderson as they made off with a 3-0 win.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Brevard was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-12, 25-14.

Brevard had a senior duo take command as Leah Cabe had 11 digs and one assist and Addison Worley had nine digs and three assists.

Brevard was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in eight consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Franklin made easy work of East Henderson on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-12, 25-16.

Brevard better focus on containing Shelby Adams and Lass Ward as the pair were huge in Franklin's win. Adams had three digs and two aces, while Ward had eight digs and five assists. Those five assists gave Ward a new career-high. Carrie Holland also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Franklin's win bumped their record up to 23-3. As for Brevard, their victory bumped their record up to 18-9.
