Volleyball Recap: Williamsburg Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Williamsburg lost against Glendale back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Blue Pirates lost 3-0 to the Vikings. The Blue Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-21, 25-10.

Williamsburg's offense was headlined by Katie Merritts and Bella Strohmeyer, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Maura Cresswell and her 11 assists.

Rachel McClellan produced another solid effort getting 17 kills, seven digs, and three aces for Glendale. McClellan is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had 17 or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Madilyn Skebeck, who had four digs, three blocks, and three aces.

Williamsburg's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Glendale, they now have a winning record of 12-11-1.

Williamsburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Claysburg-Kimmel on the 7th. As for Glendale, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Bishop Carroll on the 6th.
