Softball Game Preview: Overhills Jaguars vs. Pine Forest Trojans

For the second straight game, Overhills will face off against Pine Forest. The Jaguars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Overhills has given up an average of 9.1 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Overhills and Pine Forest, and Pine Forest kept the tradition alive. The Jaguars came up short against the Trojans on Wednesday, falling 18-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Jaguars in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost three in a row.

For Pine Forest's part, Mya Harris made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Harris was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaliyah Roche, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2.
