Volleyball Recap: Brunswick Comes Up Short

Brunswick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Highland Hornets, falling 3-0. The Blue Devils were not able to make up for their defeat to the Hornets from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Brunswick was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-23, 25-19.

Despite the loss, Brunswick still got an impressive performance from Ashlie Lieb, who had 18 digs and two assists. Lieb is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season.

Brunswick's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Highland, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Brunswick has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Kenston on the 21st. As for Highland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Medina on the 21st.
