Volleyball Game Preview: Pomeroy Pirates vs. Rosalia Spartans

The Pomeroy Pirates will head out to challenge the Rosalia Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

On Tuesday, Pomeroy got the win against St. John-Endicott by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won three in a row.

Pomeroy was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-11, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Rosalia made easy work of Colton on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Pomeroy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Everything went Pomeroy's way against Rosalia when the teams last played back in September, as Pomeroy made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
