Lake Norman will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Mooresville, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Wildcats walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Blue Devils on Thursday. The game was the first time the Wildcats have beaten the Blue Devils on their field since March 29, 2022.
Charlee Kelly spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on nine hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Vivian Billard, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Kail Panaccione, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
The home team had won the previous four meetings between A.L. Brown and Carson, and A.L. Brown kept the tradition alive. The Wonders never let the Cougars get on the board and left with a 4-0 win on Thursday.
Mary Katherine Black was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Black was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other batting news, Kennedy Yow was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Madyson Baker was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Lake Norman has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for A.L. Brown, their win bumped their record up to 7-3-1.
