Football Game Preview: Fayetteville Bulldogs vs. Rogers Heritage War Eagles

Fayetteville is a perfect 10-0 against Rogers Heritage since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Bulldogs will head out to take on the War Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Rogers Heritage took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Fayetteville, who comes in off a win.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Thursday. Fayetteville put the hurt on Springdale with a sharp 52-28 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Fayetteville's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas football rankings (they are ranked tenth, while Springdale is ranked 43rd).

It was another big night for Hank Hendrix, who threw for 406 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also punched in a pair of scores on the ground. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (153.5). 83 of Hendrix's passing yards were hauled in by Jayden Nicholson, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Meanwhile, Rogers Heritage played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 56-28 loss at the hands of Bentonville West. The defeat continues a trend for the War Eagles in their meetings with the Wolverines: they've now lost nine in a row.

Rogers Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Fayetteville, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Everything came up roses for Fayetteville against Rogers Heritage when the teams last played back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
