Baseball Recap: Marshalltown Takes a Loss

Marshalltown was the 9-7 winner over Lincoln when they last played one another on Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Bobcats fell just short of the Railsplitters by a score of 4-3 on Monday.

Marshalltown's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Lincoln, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marshalltown will host Ottumwa at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Bobcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lincoln, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Mason City at 3:30 p.m. The Mohawks will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Railsplitters surely won't give up without a fight.
