Softball Recap: Monte Vista Takes a Loss

The matchup between Monte Vista and Southwest SD on Thursday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Monte Vista Monarchs lost 17-3 to the Southwest SD Raiders. The Monarchs just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row dating back to last season.

Monte Vista's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Southwest SD, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

Coincidentally, Monte Vista and Southwest SD will both be playing Hoover the next time they take the field. Monte Vista will host Hoover at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, while Southwest SD will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
