Softball Recap: Gorham Fayette Takes a Loss

Gorham Fayette lost against North Central back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Gorham Fayette came up short against North Central, falling 20-2. Gorham Fayette has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gorham Fayette saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Willow Mitchell, who went 2-for-3 with two runs. Kayla Sliwinski also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Gorham Fayette's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for North Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-10 record this season.

Gorham Fayette will be playing at home against Stryker at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for North Central, they will take on Pettisville in a tournament on Wednesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blackbirds have averaged an impressive 10.3 runs per game this season.
