Softball Recap: Yellville-Summit Comes Up Short

Yellville-Summit lost against Melbourne back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers came up short against the Bearkatz, falling 16-1. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Yellville-Summit's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Melbourne, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

Looking ahead, Yellville-Summit will welcome Valley Springs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Melbourne, they will venture away from home to challenge Midland at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.79 runs per game on average), something the Bearkatz will no doubt try to take advantage of.
