Meanwhile, Plainfield faced Elizabeth in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Plainfield came out on top against Elizabeth by a score of 69-61. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.

Perth Amboy pushed their record up to 15-10 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Plainfield, their record is now 21-2.

Perth Amboy took a serious blow against Plainfield when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 85-39. Can Perth Amboy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
