Soccer Game Preview: Langston Hughes vs. Sandy Creek

The Langston Hughes Panthers are taking a road trip to face off against the Sandy Creek Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Langston Hughes' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Langston Hughes fell victim to McIntosh and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Chiefs, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Langston Hughes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 306th, while McIntosh are ranked 35th).

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 goals the game before, Sandy Creek was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Whitewater. Sandy Creek haven't had much luck with Whitewater recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Having lost for the first time this season, Sandy Creek fell to 11-1. As for Langston Hughes, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
