Football Recap: Navarre Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Navarre fell victim to Crestview and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Bulldogs, falling 41-0. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 98th).

Zy Tassin was his usual excellent self, rushing for 80 yards on only six carries, while also throwing for 90 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes for Crestview. Che'Shon Cobb helped out on the ground, rushing for 81 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Navarre's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Crestview, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Navarre will challenge Gulf Breeze at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders will be up against the Dolphins' rather soft defense (which has allowed 44.14 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Crestview, they will face off against Escambia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Gators will aim to continue their five-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
