Baseball Recap: TERRA Environmental Takes a Loss

Schoolhouse Prep hit TERRA Environmental with a four-run sixth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. TERRA Environmental took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Schoolhouse Prep.

TERRA Environmental handed starting duties to Eduardo Ortea, who gave a strong showing despite the result: he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That one hit allowed gave Ortea a new career-low.

On the hitting side, Juancarlos Moreno and Jaime Estevez stepped up to the plate in a big way. Moreno went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Estevez got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

TERRA Environmental's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, TERRA Environmental will look to defend their home field on Monday against Coral Shores at 3:00 p.m. As for Schoolhouse Prep, they will head out on the road to challenge iMater Charter at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
