Soccer Recap: Kings Mountain Comes Up Short

Kings Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 6-0 to the Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Kings Mountain of the 9-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Kings Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Kings Mountain is headed away from home for the first time to challenge East Rutherford at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy, they will welcome Carolina International at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy will be up against Carolina International's rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.5 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
