Basketball Recap: Western Hills Comes Up Short

Western Hills lost against Trotwood-Madison back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Western Hills Mustangs took a blow against the Trotwood-Madison Rams, falling 47-17. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Trotwood-Madison found their leader in sophomore Janiyah Boykin, who posted nine points and six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for Boykin. Tierra Howard was another key player, putting up eight points.

Western Hills' loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Trotwood-Madison, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-7.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Taft the next time they take the court. Trotwood-Madison will head out to face Taft at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Western Hills will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on January 13th.
