Hebron was the 49-30 winner over Boone Grove when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Hebron Hawks lost 40-18 to the Boone Grove Wolves on Wednesday.

Several Hawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Evelyn Menn, who had two points plus 17 rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Baily Dilbeck, who scored two points along with ten rebounds.

Even though they lost, Hebron smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Boone Grove only pulled down 11.

Chayse Duerr was the offensive standout of the game as she went 5 for 12 en route to 13 points plus five rebounds and two steals. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in field goal percentage (42%). Morgan Shurr was another key player, scoring five points along with six rebounds and three blocks.

Hebron now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Boone Grove, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Hebron wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 54-14 defeat against Lowell on the 19th. Boone Grove has also already played their next matchup, a 33-20 loss against Whiting on the 16th.
