Basketball Game Preview: Keene Chargers vs. Rice Bulldogs

The Keene Chargers will take on the Rice Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Friday, Keene was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 50-44 to Scurry-Rosser. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 539th, while the Wildcats are ranked 235th).

Meanwhile, Rice was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were dealt a 78-35 defeat at the hands of Palmer.

Keene's loss dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Rice, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-15.

Everything came up roses for Keene against Rice in their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured a 77-31 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Keene since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
