Basketball Recap: McKinney Christian Academy Takes a Loss

McKinney Christian Academy saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 51-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alpine Bucks.

Alpine found their leader in freshman Gyllian Morrissey, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten steals. Morrissey is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last five games she's played. Andynne Ramirez was another key player, going 5 for 11 on her way to 11 points.

McKinney Christian Academy dropped their record down to 3-17 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Alpine, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.

McKinney Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 55-26 loss against Dallas Christian on the 7th. As for Alpine, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 54-34 defeat against Kermit on the 3rd.
