Football Recap: East Davidson Takes a Loss + How To Watch

East Davidson had lost five straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it six. They took a 32-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wheatmore Warriors. Golden Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Warriors since Friday.

Wheatmore's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Connor Benton looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 197 yards and two TDs on only 15 passes. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (138.2).

East Davidson has already played their next contest, a 32-14 loss against Providence Grove on the 17th. As for Wheatmore, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 14-7 defeat against West Davidson on the 17th.
