Preview: Seneca Bobcats vs. Belton-Honea Path Bears

Seneca is 8-2 against Belton-Honea Path since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Seneca Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Belton-Honea Path Bears at 7:30 p.m. Seneca is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games.

Seneca has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 22 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Franklin County on Tuesday as Seneca made off with a 70-47 victory. Given Seneca's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 45th in South Carolina, while Franklin County is ranked 330th in Georgia), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jalen Craig continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 16 rebounds. The game was his ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Stu Finley, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, Belton-Honea Path's game on Tuesday was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They strolled past West-Oak with points to spare, taking the game 54-37.

Seneca's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Belton-Honea Path's record now sits at 5-2.

Seneca didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Belton-Honea Path when the teams last played on Friday, but they still walked away with a 58-53 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Seneca since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
