Recap: Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats vs. HomeSchool Resource Center Patriots
Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats never got on the board in their matchup last Saturday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against the HomeSchool Resource Center Patriots on Saturday. They secured a 57-53 W over the Patriots. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
HomeSchool Resource Center lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Fredrick Jefferson, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Jefferson is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Mason O'Neal, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Even though they lost, HomeSchool Resource Center were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. This was only their 12th loss (out of 20 games) when they've passed the ball that well.
Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats pushed their record up to 8-10 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.7 points per game. As for HomeSchool Resource Center, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.
Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against Northside L at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northside L presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats in Indiana (Northside L is ranked 82nd, while Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats is ranked 271st). HomeSchool Resource Center will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Illinois C at 6:45 p.m. on January 15th. Illinois C has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-3 during that stretch of close contests.
