Basketball Recap: Jena Takes a Loss

Jena was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the Plainview Hornets on the road by a 61-44 margin. While losing is never fun, the Giants can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Hornets are ranked 40th).

Jena's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Plainview, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Jena will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tioga at 6:00 p.m. on January 28th. As for Plainview, they will take on LaSalle at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
