Basketball Recap: Cole Sinclair's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Woodlawn Prep over Oak Forest Academy

Woodlawn Prep suffered their biggest loss since February 20, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against the Oak Forest Academy Yellowjackets, falling 72-48. While losing is never fun, the Wolfpack can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 82nd in Mississippi, while the Yellowjackets are ranked ninth in Louisiana).

Several Wolfpack players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cole Sinclair, who posted 16 points. Drayson Patterson was another key player, dropping a double-double with 13 points and ten boards.

Woodlawn Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 30-4. As for Oak Forest Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 21 of their last 22 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 33-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Woodlawn Prep nor Oak Forest Academy have any future games scheduled.
