Basketball Recap: Magna Vista Takes a Loss

Magna Vista lost against McMichael back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Magna Vista Warriors fell 55-42 to the McMichael Phoenix.

McMichael found their leader in sophomore JJ Tatum, who posted 21 points and three steals. Ja'Keis Vernon was another key player, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Magna Vista has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for McMichael, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-14.

Magna Vista didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-49 defeat against Tunstall on the 31st. McMichael has also already played their next matchup, a 59-44 loss against Morehead on the 31st.
