Basketball Game Preview: Wheaton Academy Warriors vs. Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish

The Wheaton Academy Warriors will face off against the Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Wheaton Academy has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Bishop McNamara will arrive with five straight wins.

Last Friday, Wheaton Academy ended up a good deal behind Hinsdale Central and lost 85-69. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Red Devils are ranked fifth).

Meanwhile, Bishop McNamara hadn't done well against Aurora Christian recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Bishop McNamara walked away with a 65-53 victory over Aurora Christian.

Wheaton Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Bishop McNamara, they pushed their record up to 17-2 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.
