Soccer Recap: Hawkinsville Takes a Loss

Hawkinsville fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Dooly County on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 2-1. Hawkinsville were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Dooly County earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

Hawkinsville's goal came courtesy of Myah Brown, who's now up to 11 this season.

Hawkinsville is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-5. As for Dooly County, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-6.

Coming up, Hawkinsville will host Macon County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hawkinsville will be up against Macon County's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.92 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Dooly County, they will head out to challenge Georgia Military College at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Georgia Military College will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Dooly County surely won't give up without a fight.
