Basketball Recap: The Classical Academy of Sarasota Falls to Gulf Coast HEAT in First Game of Season

The Classical Academy of Sarasota unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 69-36 loss at the hands of the Gulf Coast HEAT Lions. The Patriots have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. The Classical Academy of Sarasota will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Family Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Gulf Coast HEAT, they and Community Christian will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played.
