Roncalli and Mt. Vernon/Plankinton squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Roncalli had to settle for second. They took a 58-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans. The Cavaliers' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Roncalli's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Mt. Vernon/Plankinton, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-4.

Roncalli does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mt. Vernon/Plankinton, they will square off against Sioux Falls Christian at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sioux Falls Christian will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Mt. Vernon/Plankinton surely won't give up without a fight.
