Basketball Recap: Ogemaw Heights Takes a Loss

Ogemaw Heights lost against Gladwin back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Ogemaw Heights Falcons fell just short of the Gladwin Flying G's by a score of 52-49. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 368th in Michigan, while the Flying G's are ranked 166th in Michigan).

Ogemaw Heights has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points over those games. Gladwin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Ogemaw Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gladwin, they will face off against Standish-Sterling at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Standish-Sterling is on a 11-game streak of home wins, Gladwin a five-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
