Preview: Cypress Creek Coyotes vs. River Ridge Royal Knights
Cypress Creek has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against The River Ridge Royal Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cypress Creek knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully River Ridge likes a good challenge.
The Cypress Creek Coyotes pushed their score all the way to 35 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were outmatched by Zephyrhills at home and fell 63-35.
Despite the loss, Cypress Creek still got an impressive performance from Jack Niemann, who rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 153 yards and a touchdown. Malachi Askin also helped out as he racked up 139 rushing yards.
Meanwhile, River Ridge came up short against Fivay on Friday and fell 27-15.
The losses dropped Cypress Creek to 8-1 and River Ridge to 4-5.
