Baseball Game Preview: Ridgemont Golden Gophers vs. Kenton Wildcats

The Ridgemont Golden Gophers will challenge the Kenton Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Kenton took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Ridgemont, who comes in off a win.

Ridgemont's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Mt. Gilead 10-0.

Jayden Sifrit made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Sifrit was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Maverick Dawson was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Jon Cromer, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Kenton fell victim to Allen East and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Mustangs, falling 6-0.

Kenton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Ridgemont, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
