Football Recap: Weiser Takes a Tough Playoff Loss + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Weiser can now relate to. They fell 30-22 to the Homedale Trojans on Friday. The Wolverines have struggled against the Trojans recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Weiser lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Cole Ingle, who rushed for 81 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 35 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Garrett Walker, who picked up 68 receiving yards and one TD.

Homedale's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Xavier Uranga led the charge by rushing for 53 yards and one score, while also throwing for 16 yards and one touchdown. Those 53 rushing yards gave Uranga a new career-high. Javid Blewett helped out on the ground, rushing for 97 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Weiser's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Homedale, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

As of now, neither Weiser nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
