            Football Recap: Countryside Christian Minutemen vs. Foundation Christian Academy Panthers        
        
		
        
        
            Countryside Christian fell victim to Foundation Christian Academy and their airtight defense  on Friday. They took a  blow against the Panthers, falling  48-0. Having soared to a lofty 40  points in the game before, the Minutemen's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 Foundation Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore  EJ Doughlin, who rushed for 56 yards and three  TDs on only seven carries, and also threw for 96 yards and a pair of  touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Doughlin also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble and making four total tackles (0.5 for loss).  Trey Doughlin got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Countryside Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Foundation Christian Academy,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 6-1.
 Coming up, Countryside Christian will challenge Cornerstone Academy at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Minutemen will be up against the Cougars' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.75  points per  game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Foundation Christian Academy, they will take on Bradenton Christian at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Foundation Christian Academy's defense better be ready for this one: Bradenton Christian has averaged an impressive 29  points per game this season.
