Soccer Recap: Eagle Pass Finds Home Pitch Redemption Against Alexander

There's no place like home for Eagle Pass, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Alexander Bulldogs on Tuesday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 375th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 69th).

Eagle Pass pushed their record up to 8-5-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three matches. As for Alexander, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.

Eagle Pass will venture away from home to face off against United at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Alexander, they and Laredo LBJ will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Laredo LBJ's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
