Baseball Recap: Sage Creek Victorious

Sage Creek won the last time they faced San Pasqual and things went their way on Thursday too. The Bobcats came out on top in a nail-biter against the Golden Eagles, sneaking past 2-1. That's two games straight that the Bobcats have won by just one run.

Hudson Jahries spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Sage Creek saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elijah Stephens, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Sean Saiki was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Sage Creek pushed their record up to 14-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. As for San Pasqual, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-9.

Sage Creek will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Golden Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
