Soccer Recap: Old Lyme Takes a Loss

The matchup between Old Lyme and Bacon Academy on Wednesday hardly resembled the 1-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Wildcats came up short against the Bobcats, falling 7-1. While losing is never fun, Old Lyme can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut soccer rankings (they are ranked 54th, while Bacon Academy are ranked fifth).

This is the second loss in a row for Old Lyme and nudges their season record down to 4-6-2. As for Bacon Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-0.

Looking ahead, Old Lyme will head out to take on Morgan at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bacon Academy, they will welcome Stonington at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
