Recap: Kennedy Cavaliers vs. Walter Johnson Wildcats
The Kennedy Cavaliers lost against the Walter Johnson Wildcats back in February of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Kennedy took a 57-43 bruising from Walter Johnson. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Kennedy in their matchups with Walter Johnson: they've now lost five in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Walter Johnson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Norah Youssef, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Alexander, who scored 13 points along with 9 rebounds.
Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Walter Johnson, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Kennedy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Poolesville at 7:15 p.m. on January 23, 2024. As for Walter Johnson, they will head out on the road to face off against Damascus at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
