West Orange-Stark extends home losing streak to four

Recap: West Orange-Stark Mustangs vs. Vidor Pirates

The West Orange-Stark Mustangs lost against the Vidor Pirates back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. West Orange-Stark took a 53-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Vidor. While losing is never fun, West Orange-Stark can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1050th, while Vidor is ranked 491st).

Raegan Stephenson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Vidor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Stephenson has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Natalie Morrison, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.

West Orange-Stark dropped their record down to 4-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Vidor, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-7.

West Orange-Stark will head out on the road to face off against Lumberton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lumberton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Vidor, they will be playing at home against Silsbee at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Silsbee will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
