Volleyball Recap: Nekoosa Comes Up Short

Nekoosa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Aquinas Blugolds. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Papermakers of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Ariana Rosplock paced Nekoosa's offense, picking up three kills. Rosplock got some help from Aubrey Boerboom and her seven assists. Finally, Elizabeth Ward kept Nekoosa's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Nekoosa's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Aquinas, their win bumped their record up to 10-13.

Nekoosa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Luther on the 4th. As for Aquinas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Ellsworth on the 4th.
