Softball Recap: Collins Comes Up Short

If Collins was feeling good fresh off their 17-6 takedown of Paul Laurence Dunbar on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Titans lost 14-2 to the Anderson County Bearcats on Wednesday. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Bearcats recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Brooke Peterman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last four times she's played.

Collins' loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Anderson County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season.

Collins will square off against Boyle County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Anderson County, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-1 win against Western Hills on the 8th.
