Softball Recap: Lutheran West Wins Going Away Against Open Door Christian

Lutheran West had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Open Door Christian on Saturday. The Longhorns were the clear victors by a 25-15 margin over the Patriots. That looming 25-15 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Longhorns yet this season.

Leah Miller was a standout: she fired off two home runs, four stolen bases, and five runs while going 4-for-6. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.4 runs per game. Aryana 'Ary' Garcia was another key player, scoring five runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

Miller wasn't the only one making solid contact: Lutheran West kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
