Baseball Recap: Eagle Pass Gets the Win

While Eagle Pass's victory against Uvalde wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Coyotes/Lobos (for girls) 4-2. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Coyotes/Lobos (for girls): they've now won three in a row.

David Hernandez was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was DJ Aranda, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Eagle Pass hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Uvalde struck out eight times.

Eagle Pass' win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Uvalde, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Eagle Pass will challenge Vista Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Uvalde, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Bishop at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
