Basketball Game Preview: Prout Crusaders vs. St. Patrick Academy Padres

Prout is 6-1 against St. Patrick Academy since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Crusaders will face off against the Padres at 2:00 p.m. One thing working in Prout's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.

Prout made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Times Squared Academy, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Crusaders fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 81-78 on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Crusaders in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, St. Patrick Academy played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 67-46 to Ponaganset.

Prout now has a losing record of 10-11. As for St. Patrick Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.

Everything went Prout's way against St. Patrick Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2025, as Prout made off with a 63-40 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crusaders since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
